Ella and Willow had no problem opening presents right away. Willow was most excited about the candy. Ella ran out to the living room screaming, "Santa came, Santa came!"
Willow's favorite present from Santa was a new baby doll and stroller. She now has something that is smaller than her that she can be in control of! Ella's favorite present from Santa was a "princess bed". It is a quilt with 3 different princesses on it. She is very into the princesses these days. She is, of course, CinderELLA;Willow is Belle;Mommy is Sleeping Beauty; Grandma is Snow White. She has assigned each of us a princess.
After the girls opened their presents and things settled down, Shane wasted no time to go outside and work on the house and yard. He finished painting the exterior of our house and cleaned up the yard. No days off for Shane! My parents came over late morning to see what the girls got for Christmas. We had breakfast, played with their new toys, and talked to my grandparents on the web cam. Later, we went to the movies to see "Bedtime Stories" with Desiree & Brandon, Michael, and DJ. After the movies, we came home and set a "Princess Bed" (a twin bed) up in Ella's room for her. We organized their new toys into the storage under the bed. It was a long, good day and just what Christmas should be.
