We started off Christmas Eve by making and decorating Christmas cookies for Santa. Ella helped stir the dough and cut out the cookies but I think her favorite part was decorating them. She wanted to make sure we left some out for Santa along with some chocolate milk for him. (She knew how much Santa loves chocolate milk.)
We went over to my parents house for Christmas Eve. We had dinner, a family home evening and we opened our family presents. Willow enjoyed helping everyone open their presents. Ella got a hopscotch rug and showed everyone how to play it. We ended the night around 7:00 because Willow had numerous meltdowns. She did not understand that not every gift was hers. We left to go home and both girls fell asleep on the ride home. Getting them to go to sleep was not a problem this Christmas Eve.
